I know that the difference between 1080p and 720p is subtle when it comes to video quality but I want to know in terms of a PC to HDTV connection, is there a major difference between 1080p and 720p LCD televisions? And if so what are the differences?
I want to use the LCD TV for gaming and graphic design. My PC supports HDMI output and I am looking at getting a 32 inch LCD.
Any help would be much appreciated,
Thanks,
Dru.
I’ve heard from a few people that you need a 42″ HDTV or bigger to notice much of a difference in quality when watching T.V, and I was wondering wether you would notice much difference when using a 32″ HDTV with 1000:1 contrast ratio when playing on the 360. You see I can’t fit a 42″ in my room and I was wanting to know if there’s any point in getting a 32″ HDTVt to play on the 360. Here’s the ones I was looking at:

Are these any good and would I notice the difference from SDTV ?

I am thinking about getting a 32 inch lcd HDTV and I want to know if there is a difference between 720p and 1080i in these sized tv’s. I have heard that there is not, it takes a 40+ inch HDTV to tell the difference, so I was wandering what I should do. Mostly I will be just playing video games (Xbox 360) and watching HDTV from my cable company, a few occasional DVDs, NO BLURAY.
Let me know,
Thanks for the help
My standard dvd player shows an amazing picture on my HDTV. I am getting an HD receiver next week and just wondering if the picture will be getting any sharper. I am told it will, but how is possible for the eyes to see anything sharper than a dvd?
For you people watching HDTV…Do you really see a difference between HDTV (HD source) and watching a regular DVD?
